Meet Goose, a 9th-generation WNC native and graduate of Appalachian State in Recreation Management. The outdoors has always been a significant part of Goose’s life, and he continues to pass on his passion to his children. Recently, Goose decided to start a company to address the negative aspects that the French Broad is constantly put through. From trash left by summertime tourists to the harmful waste that is dumped into the river, Goose has seen enough. With the river’s health in mind, Goose wants to give back to local heroes running non-profits or volunteering to keep the Old French Broad clean.
